Foster Sylvers – Misdemeanor (Pride)
Released: 1973/2007
It is just as good as anything the Jackson 5 ever made. Foster Sylvers’ “Misdemeanor” is one of my favourite songs of all time. When watching the album cover on the Youtube video you’re thinking he can’t be older than 15. In fact, Foster was only 11 when he recorded this classic!
He was the youngest member of “The Sylvers” who also released “Boogie Fever” and was coined the Southern Jackson Five. Singing “she stole my heart, but it’s just a misdemeanor” this little kid knew a lot about love for his age only being slightly into two-digits.
There is also a rare Danny Krivit edit on this release, but I’ll stick to the 1973 original. Some songs deserve that.
