Anthony David – Something about you (Dome)

As you probably have noticed by now, I am a big fan of Tru Thoughts Recordings. The Brighton imprint has an impressive consistency with over 150 releases of quality music and a set of artists that includes amongst others Quantic, Alice Russell, The Bamboos and TM Juke. 

I first heard of Atlanta based singer songwriter Anthony David appeared on Freddie Krugers debut album on Tru Thoughts in 2006. I have been playing that track out a couple of times, and “I Wanna Make You Move” is included here as well. But for me it is “Something About You” and “Lady” from his “Red Clay Chronicles” album that inspired me to write about the release. Two good pieces of soul music.
